Ben Hansen does BellCon 2011 and more!

Hey there, my faithful ones! Time for your blogmaster to drop some knowledge on you, with some news you should have. Today, it's all about our own Ben Hansen.

First off, if you will be in Ferndale, WA this Saturday, you'll have to be sure to stop by the Bellingham ComiCon. They've got some really good guests this year, not least of which is Ben Hansen. He'll be there with his usual array of prints and comics, as well as doing sketches for the masses. This is Ben's last appearance for the year, so you don't want to miss your chance to see him, if you can. He can be found at table #50 (in the artist alley section) and the show runs from 10 am to 5pm. You can get all the necessary information at their website.

Next, I hope you've all been keep tabs on our Facebook page. If not, you are missing out on a set of sneak peek images from Ben's upcoming story from Moonstone Comics. The preview images are from the pages of Zombies vs. Cheerleaders #5. Based from the 5finity card set, the series blends teen angst with undead horror. This is the first part of a two part story. I'll be adding more previews later this week. So, make sure to check in with the page and get a gander at what Ben has in store for you. Think of it as an early Halloween treat. Part one of the story is due out later this month. I'll be sure to let you all know when it's ready to drop.

Lastly, I wanted to throw out a last minute reminder that the Marla Bea Breast Cancer benefit art auctions are ending later today. As you know, Ben Hansen (as well as Randy Kintz, Mike Vosburg, and Matt Haley) donated a piece to this wonderful cause. Many of the pieces up for grabs are still are very reasonable prices, so you have no reason not to throw on a bid on some of the great art that is available. You can view all the donations right here. Do your part to help a very worthwhile cause.

Well, that's all for now. I'll back again soon, as I'm expecting some new art shipments in shortly. Until then, peace out!

Are you looking for some new art?

Hey there, original art lovers! Sequential Treasures is back to give you the lowdown on some new art you can obtain for yourself. So, read on and get your knowledge on!

First off, the art auctions for the Marla Bea Breast Cancer Benefit have begun. This is the benefit's third year in action and they've done a lot of good with the previous art auctions. With nearly 50 pieces collected for this year, there's lots of great art up for grabs with all the proceeds going to help fight breast cancer. A worthwhile cause, if ever there was one. There's even pieces from our own Mike Vosburg, Matt Haley, Randy Kintz and Ben Hansen. You can see and bid on all the art for the benefit right here. Go on and throw some bids out there. The auctions will be running until October 19th, so you have plenty of time to do so. You just might get some great art and help a very important cause.

Speaking of Ben Hansen, if you don't feel you are the lucky type to win some great art, you can always buy some from us. We've just added several new pin-up pieces from Ben Hansen, onto our art gallery. They feature either Transformers or battling babes! Plus you have lots of other great art from our list of fine talents. Stop by the art gallery and check them our for yourself. And don't forget, anyone who places an art order of $150.00 or more gets FREE SHIPPING anywhere in the world! Now, that's a deal that's hard to beat.

Lastly, I have to say I was a bit surprised to get no response from any of you, on how we can improve the service here at Sequential Treasures. While I'd like to believe it's because we are doing everything right, I'm afraid even my ego isn't that large. So, please, let us know what we can do to make things even better for you all. We honestly take your suggestions and concerns very seriously at Sequential Treasures HQ.

Well, that's it for now. I'll be back soon with more new art and news for you all, even as we start to make plans for some stuff for you come 2012. There's no resting on our laurels around here. Until next time, peace out!

Hitting The Shelves: Batman and Robin #2

Hey there, everyone! We're back with more upcoming news for all your Sequential Treasures followers and some other bits of interest. So, strap in and let's get this show on the road!

This Wednesday sees the release of Batman and Robin #2, featuring the peerless inking of our own Mick Gary, from DC's new 52 reboot. It's father and son action, as Batman and Robin face the new menace of the villainous Nobody. That is, when they aren't verbally sparring with each other. This series was one of the better selling ones from the reboot last month and the reviews on it seem to suggest it is a bit of hit with folks. Here's a sampling of what's being said:

"If you are looking for a Batman book to pick up look no further than Batman and Robin." - Kevin of Comic Book Revolution

"Batman and Robin #1 is well paced book with a small dose of action, great dialogue, a memorable new villain, and great work by the art team." - Andrew Asberry of Batman-News.com

"The storytelling is crisp, punchy and clean—in both words and art—even when they both get pretty dark." - Jonathan Messinger of Time Out Chicago

"Batman & Robin #1 is, so far, one of the best of the New 52 releases." - Iann Robinson of Crave Online

"This issue was enjoyable from beginning to end." - Ben Gilbert of Panels On Pages

"... ultimately this tale is fresh, engaging, and a reason to breathe a sigh of continuity-relief." - Joshua Yehl of IGN

So, what more do you need for me to say? Make sure to pick up your copy of issue #2 at you LCS this week. Just look for the cover image shown here.

Now, I'd like to do a little something different. Art sales have been very light around here of late and it is something that needs to change. However, rather than my usual tact of trying to come up with something to help do that, I'm going to give the floor to you, our consumer base. I'd like to know your thoughts. Is there something we aren't doing, but should? Something we are doing, that we shouldn't? Is there something you'd like to see us doing more of? Or less? Or something we are totally missing the boat on? I don't pretend to have a lock on knowledge around here, so let us know what we can do to make the experience more interesting and enticing for you all. You can post your suggestions here, or at our Facebook page, or drop us an email from our art gallery. We really do value your thoughts, so let us know what you are thinking.

Well, that's it for now, but I'll be back soon with more news and art updates. Until then, peace out!
