Are you looking for some new art?

Hey there, original art lovers! Sequential Treasures is back to give you the lowdown on some new art you can obtain for yourself. So, read on and get your knowledge on!

First off, the art auctions for the Marla Bea Breast Cancer Benefit have begun. This is the benefit's third year in action and they've done a lot of good with the previous art auctions. With nearly 50 pieces collected for this year, there's lots of great art up for grabs with all the proceeds going to help fight breast cancer. A worthwhile cause, if ever there was one. There's even pieces from our own Mike Vosburg, Matt Haley, Randy Kintz and Ben Hansen. You can see and bid on all the art for the benefit right here. Go on and throw some bids out there. The auctions will be running until October 19th, so you have plenty of time to do so. You just might get some great art and help a very important cause.

Speaking of Ben Hansen, if you don't feel you are the lucky type to win some great art, you can always buy some from us. We've just added several new pin-up pieces from Ben Hansen, onto our art gallery. They feature either Transformers or battling babes! Plus you have lots of other great art from our list of fine talents. Stop by the art gallery and check them our for yourself. And don't forget, anyone who places an art order of $150.00 or more gets FREE SHIPPING anywhere in the world! Now, that's a deal that's hard to beat.

Lastly, I have to say I was a bit surprised to get no response from any of you, on how we can improve the service here at Sequential Treasures. While I'd like to believe it's because we are doing everything right, I'm afraid even my ego isn't that large. So, please, let us know what we can do to make things even better for you all. We honestly take your suggestions and concerns very seriously at Sequential Treasures HQ.

Well, that's it for now. I'll be back soon with more new art and news for you all, even as we start to make plans for some stuff for you come 2012. There's no resting on our laurels around here. Until next time, peace out!

Hitting The Shelves: Batman and Robin #2

Hey there, everyone! We're back with more upcoming news for all your Sequential Treasures followers and some other bits of interest. So, strap in and let's get this show on the road!

This Wednesday sees the release of Batman and Robin #2, featuring the peerless inking of our own Mick Gary, from DC's new 52 reboot. It's father and son action, as Batman and Robin face the new menace of the villainous Nobody. That is, when they aren't verbally sparring with each other. This series was one of the better selling ones from the reboot last month and the reviews on it seem to suggest it is a bit of hit with folks. Here's a sampling of what's being said:

"If you are looking for a Batman book to pick up look no further than Batman and Robin." - Kevin of Comic Book Revolution

"Batman and Robin #1 is well paced book with a small dose of action, great dialogue, a memorable new villain, and great work by the art team." - Andrew Asberry of Batman-News.com

"The storytelling is crisp, punchy and clean—in both words and art—even when they both get pretty dark." - Jonathan Messinger of Time Out Chicago

"Batman & Robin #1 is, so far, one of the best of the New 52 releases." - Iann Robinson of Crave Online

"This issue was enjoyable from beginning to end." - Ben Gilbert of Panels On Pages

"... ultimately this tale is fresh, engaging, and a reason to breathe a sigh of continuity-relief." - Joshua Yehl of IGN

So, what more do you need for me to say? Make sure to pick up your copy of issue #2 at you LCS this week. Just look for the cover image shown here.

Now, I'd like to do a little something different. Art sales have been very light around here of late and it is something that needs to change. However, rather than my usual tact of trying to come up with something to help do that, I'm going to give the floor to you, our consumer base. I'd like to know your thoughts. Is there something we aren't doing, but should? Something we are doing, that we shouldn't? Is there something you'd like to see us doing more of? Or less? Or something we are totally missing the boat on? I don't pretend to have a lock on knowledge around here, so let us know what we can do to make the experience more interesting and enticing for you all. You can post your suggestions here, or at our Facebook page, or drop us an email from our art gallery. We really do value your thoughts, so let us know what you are thinking.

Well, that's it for now, but I'll be back soon with more news and art updates. Until then, peace out!

Matt Haley is open for commissions!

Hey, everyone! The greatest week ever for Sequential Treasures continues. Today, as promised, we bring you the commission rates list for artist Matt Haley.

Pictured here is the complete list of Matt's rates. What's more, he has a few commission slots open right now in his schedule. So, if you are interested, please contact us to get on the list. These spots are limited, so it will be first come first served. Also, allow for at least 6-8 weeks for completion. We are hoping to have some of Matt's originals in the near future, so be sure to stay tuned for that.

Finally, I just want to remind you all that we are on Facebook and have our own group forum there. Some of our artists post over there, so you can have the chance to interact with them. Come on over and join us. If you have any questions or suggestions for us or our artists, please post them up there. You'll most likely get some replies to your queries.

Well, that's all for now. I'll be back soon with more info and news for you all. Until then, peace out!

Where everybody knows your (screen)name!

Hello, my faithful minions of comic artistry! Today I want to let you all know that, in an effort to stay current (or, at least, not lag any farther behind) and give you all someplace to gather, we've started a Sequential Treasures Forum on Facebook.

This will be a place where you can not only get updates and info on what's happening with all things Sequential treasures, but can more fully interact with us (and each other), to bring a greater sense of community and cooperation. Both Randy Kintz and Ben Hansen are members, along with your illustrious blogmaster, so you will now have the chance for asking questions, express your thoughts on comic art, and get to know more about the fine folks who make us this madcap bunch. I'm also adding this new forum to our link list on the sidebar, as well.

I hope you will all join us there, as your input is very important, not to mention valuable, to us. As for this blog, I will still continue to post info updates, for those of you who are not into the social networking thing. This is just another way we are reaching out to bring you better service and more information.

That's all for now. I'll be back with more juicy tidbits on things coming up soon, as the convention season is almost upon us. Until then, peace out!

Because I haven't cornered the market on knowledge....

Hello, my fellow comic art lovers! This time out I wanted to do something a little bit different. So far, it has been me doing all the talking and all the writing around here. But one of the reasons I started this blog, was to have a place for all of you to give me your thoughts on things. Well, consider this an official invitation. I want to know what you think about Sequential Treasures up to this point.

Please use the comments section on this entry as your own personal "suggestion box." Let me know what your thoughts on things are. Is there something I'm not doing, that I should? Or something I am doing, that I should stop? What are the things you like about this service and what are things that need improving? What is it you would like from me and this endeavor? What can I do to make things better for you, and make you more interested than you already are? Let me know. I don't pretend to have all the answers here, and your input can only help me get a better idea of where I'm going and what direction I should be looking in next. I really want to know your feelings on things.

Remember, a business can only improve if the clientele speak up. So, let your voices ring out and be heard. I am most certainly willing to listen to all you have to say and give it the consideration it deserves. Until next time, peace out!
