Richard Moore's early Christmas present!

Hey, everyone! I'm back again with lots of exciting news (or, at least, news that's exciting to us here at Sequential Treasures H.Q.), so let me just cut right to the chase.

First off, our scanner issue has finally been resolved. I've gotten a new scanner and am back up to full operational capacity. This means that I will not only be able to replace the images of art I've recently posted, via my digital camera, with much better quality scans (in fact, I've already started to do so), but now new art updates can begin again in a much more timely manner.

And speaking of new art updates, that brings me to the other bit of news I have: A new 20 piece art update from Richard Moore. In this batch we have the complete 18 pages from Chip: Second Crack #2, the original cover to Chip: Second Crack #3, and a beautiful pin-up piece of M'Lady (shown right here)! They've all been updated to our art gallery, so head on over and give them a gander. Any of them would make a wonderful Christmas gift for that one you love (even if that person is yourself). Just think of this as an early holiday gift from Richard Moore and Sequential Treasures, to all of you. And as always, any art order of $150.00 or more gets free shipping across the globe. That big man in the red suit isn't the only one who can offer that.

Well, that about does it for now, but I'm sure I'll have some more news and tidbits for you before the year comes to a close. So, until next time, peace out!

New art for sale and new changes!

Hey, everyone! There's a lot happening with Sequential Treasures right now, as our changes continue. Some you'll like and others not so much. So, let's get to the latest developments.

First, we've just added almost a dozen new pieces for sale today. We have a cover from Randy Kintz, which is some of his earliest work. Also, we have lots of new pages from inker Mick Gray. These feature his work on Batman and Robin, Brightest Day, Jonah Hex, Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne and the Green Lantern Movie Prequel: Abin Sur (which is shown here in the image above)! All of these pages are penciled by either Patrick Gleason or Ryan Sook, so it's going to be good stuff. Be sure to check these out.

Sadly, though, Not everything is so cheery. As you may have noticed, the prices on all our art has gone up. I've strived very hard to keep prices down, but the economic realities just forced my hand. My costs for running this operation aren't getting smaller, but the sales are. However, there is a bright side to this. For now, any order of art totaling $150.00 or more, will get FREE SHIPPING anywhere in the world. That's right free domestic and international shipping for all orders of art totaling $150.00 or more. So, I've tried to lessen the impact of this necessary price increase. I may have had to bow to the economic harshness of these times, but I'm still trying watching your bottom line, as well.

That's all for now. Convention season is still in gear and I know several of my artists have new books due out next month, so you'll be hearing about more stuff soon. So, stop by the art gallery and check the new stuff and place an order! Until next time, peace out!

A most important art for sale update!

Hello again, my comic art groupies! We are back with an all new art update, with art from several ofour artists. So, let's not waste any time and get to it, shall we?

First off, Ben Hansen gives us a few new pin up pieces, featuring the likes of the Fantastic Four, X-Force's Domino, and the original art to the War Machine print we had at ECCC this year (and this piece also comes with one of those print, as well).

Nest, Randy Kintz adds a couple of new pieces to the lot. We have the cover art to the Hollywood Highways OGN, from Portal Comics (which is shown here above). And we have a soon-to-be-published pin up that spotlights the ladies of DarkBrain.com.

Last, but by no means least, we have another update of stuff from Richard Moore. Now we have 10 pages from his upcoming Ladies of the Night one-shot, due out next month from Antarctic Press, which can be your's. I don't mind saying that these are probably among some of Richard's finest work (which when you look at all the great art we've showcased by him over the last few years, that's really saying something. You just have to see these to believe them.

Lots of very cool stuff to see, no doubt. So, head on over to our art gallery and check them all out. Then place your oders with the quickness, as I don't expect the best pieces to be around for long.

But, as you might be asking, how does all of that make this the "most important" art update we've ever had? Well, will all this goodness, it only stands to reason that some bad goes with it. While I was working on this update, my flatbed scanner died. After 5 years and a few thousand scans, it is no more. Unfortunately, I do not currently have the funds to purchase a new one. So, without some serious sales in the very near future, there could be no new art updates for some time. This is certainly not something I want, nor do I think any of you out there want this, either. Please help me to avoid this possibility and help me get enough sales to replace such a vital componant for this operation to continue running. I normally don't ask for things like this, but this is an extreme situation that must be addressed soon. As always, your business and support is greatly appreciated by all of us at Sequential Treasures.

That's all for now. I'll be back soon with more news and info on our artists and other happenings. I also hope to report that the scanner situation has been quickly remedied, as well. Until then, peace out!

New art for sale from Mick Gray and Sequential Treasures!

Hey, everyone! Well, with us now into August the "lazy days" of summer are upon us. However, lazy days are something we've not been having around the Sequential Treasures HQ for quite a while now, as we just keep steamrolling along. And what better way to start off a new month, than with an update of some new art for sale. Even better, it comes from our latest talent addition, Mick Gray.

Mick dug into his little treasure trove of goodies and pulled out 10 incredible pieces, which will thrill and excite you. Here's the full list of what's been updated, which I think you're going to like (especially if you are a DC Comics fan):

  • Fantastic Four: Secret Invasion #3, page 5 (pencils by Barry Kitson)

  • The Shield #1, page 14 (pencils by Marco Rudy)

  • Green Lantern #40 Cover Re-creation (pencils and inks by Mick Gray)

That's all for now, but I'll be back soon, as we strive to keep your summer a very hot one, as far as your desires for original art is concerned. Until next time, peace out!

Hitting The Shelves: Strange Aeons Magazine #1

Hey there, my faithful ones. Time to hit you with some more news and developments here at Sequential Treasures HQ. Today, we have a new comic related item, which features artwork by our own Ben Hansen.

Fresh off the presses is a new horror anthology magazine called Strange Aeons. It's 56 pages of gorgeous B&W (and color!) comics, book reviews, short story fiction, and more. If you have ever been a fan of mags like Heavy Metal, Eerie, Creepy and the like, then this is something that is right up your alley. As for the Ben Hansen connection, he provides the cover art (shown here), as well as the art for a lobby card insert. Ben had some preview copies available at the Emerald City ComiCon, but now you can buy it outright. It may be found in select comic shops (and if they don't have it, be sure to pester them to get it), but your best bet to get it, is by ordering it straight from Strange Aeons website.

And if you like what you see her, make sure to stop by our art gallery and check out the recent original art additions from Ben and some of our other stalwart talent. Get some now, before he becomes a superstar and the prices for his art skyrocket!

Thanks all for now. I hope to be back soon with more info on another update of original art. Until then, peace out!

New art from Randy Kintz and Ben Hansen now for sale!

Hello again, everybody! I'm still playing catch-up post ECCC (and I still need to finish the report on it, but it is coming soon, I promise you). On the agenda today, we have a nice little update of art from Sequential Treasures two biggest up-and-comers: Randy Kintz and Ben Hansen!

From Ben, we have several more pin up pieces, including a Magdalena/Witchblade/Darkness shot, an awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles group shot and a couple of other nice treats. On top of that, we have the cover art to the Vermicide One-Shot (shown here), which is due to hit comic shops in April. So, some very cool stuff, indeed.

Then we have Randy Kintz, who hits us with a couple of nice pin ups, including the sexy librarian that was an ECCC exclusive print design and some gorgeous Space Amazons. If you've seen Randy's take on the female form, you know these don't disappoint. As if that weren't enough for you, we have the remaining covers to his hit mini-series DRONE (issue #2 through 4) and the Graham Cracker exclusive variant edition cover to Wrath of the Titans #1 from Bluewater Comics.

So, there's lots to see here. Stop by our art gallery and check them out (then, place your order, because you know you want to). Between this and the Matt Haley art update, there's plenty of new stuff just waiting for a new home.

That's all for now, kiddies. I do promise that the post-ECCC report will be next. Also, I'm expecting a new shipment of art from Richard Moore any day now (that is, if our new scheduling system in up to the task it was made for). So, you have even more good stuff coming your way in the near future. Until then, peace out!

New Matt Haley art available to purchase!

Hey there, again, my art loving fans! As I attempt to try to get caught up on things, I've just added a nice little update of original art to our gallery from Sequential Treasures newest resident, Matt Haley!

All of it is previously unpublished works. We have some unpublished covers featuring Green Lantern (shown here) and the Pantheon, a very sexy unpublished Vampirella page, and several choice unpublished pin ups, with a few in color, featuring Ghost, Spider-Woman, the X-Men and more. As if all that wasn't enough, I even have the design art for the Batgirl vs. Catwoman statue (which was posted here before the ECCC show) that comes with one of the limited edition statues it is based from. So, something for every taste possible, I would say. Please, stop by our art gallery and give them a looksee. But place those orders with haste, as I suspect much of this stuff will not be we us for long.

That's all for now. I will try to have our post-con report for you tomorrow. Until then, peace out!

Artist Bio: Matt Haley

Hello, my comic art faithful. I told you I'd be back soon with more news and info and you know your not-so-humble blogmaster has never lied to you before, so why start now?

Today's news is probably some of the biggest I've had to give in some time. It's something I've been sitting on for a bit, until the time was right to spring it. Well, all has fallen into place and that time is now: Sequential Treasures is now the exclusive art rep for big time comic star Matt Haley! This is very big news for us here and we couldn't be more excited to be working with an artist of Matt's reputation and caliber. I'm sure many of you are familiar with Matt's art from his time at the big two. But for those of you not so in the know, here's a small rundown on Matt's career:

"Artist Matt Haley is well known in the world of comic books for his years of work for Marvel (THE ORDER, HEROES REBORN: REBEL), DC (SUPERGIRL/BATGIRL: ELSEWORLDS FINEST, BIRDS OF PREY) and Dark Horse (GHOST), but he attracted a whole new audience thanks to the illustrations he provided for HarperCollins' new book BADASS, by Ben Thompson, in bookstores nationwide.

Already hard at work on the sequel, Haley also heeded the call to Hollywood and created art for both seasons of Sci-Fi Channel’s hit series, “Stan Lee’s Who Wants to be a Superhero?” But never to forget the industry that helped put him on the map, he remained a fixture in comics working on the art to Superman Returns movie adaptation. Haley’s talent and reputation as an artist have created a demand for his work that spans the entertainment industry.

More recently, he was lead artist for Rift Software's "Liberty Rocket" XBOX game, as well as providing covers for FEMME NOIR for Ape Entertainment, TANGENT: SUPERMAN'S REIGN at DC Comics, and Avatar's relaunch of LADY DEATH. He's
also just directed a secret film project that will be viral on the web by May."

As I said, this is big news. The only down side, is that Matt doesn't have very much of his past originals left for sale. However, Sequential Treasures is working with him to create new exclusive pin up pieces to be sold through us, as well as lining up commission works for him. We will shortly have a commissions rate chart available, so make sure to check in with us shortly, if you'd like to get your own Matt Haley original. Even better, Matt will be at Emerald City ComiCon in March, along with myself, Randy Kintz and Ben Hansen. So, Sequential Treasures looks to be out in force come March and you'll have the opportunity to meet many of the talented creators in our stables.

Wow, how exciting, huh? Things just continue to move onward and upwards for Sequential Treasures and we hope you'll be along for the ride. That's all for this time. I'll be back with more news and updates soon. If they turn out as impressive as this one, you just might not be able to stand it! Until then, peace out!

New Richard Moore art available to purchase!

Hello everyone! Sequential Treasures is back with a nice big art update from Richard Moore. It's been a while since the last update from Richard and I know some of you have been awaiting one. Well, the wait is now over!

Now available to buy are the cover and pin-ups from the colored reissue of The Pound #1 (including the piece shown here). This was the issue that slipped in under many folks radar last November. Also, we have a couple of unpublished pin-ups featuring the characters from Richard's little known creation, Deja Vu. And for you lovers of Richard's adult themed works, we have over a dozen pin-up from the Horny Tails TPB collection, featuring Meg from Far West, M'Lady and more! But be warned, these are most certainly NSFW. So, make sure to stop on by and check out what's new!

Even better news than this, I've worked out a form of scheduling with Richard on obtaining more of his originals. So, you can expect smaller gaps between updates of art for sale by him. This means more Moore will be available for everyone in 2010! Rock on!

That's it for now. I'll be back soon with more news and hopefully more art updates. Until then, peace out!

Get a "Slice" of Chris Ivy from the Hero Initiative!

Hey, my faithful followers. I'm back again, with some more news and info about our awesome array of talented artistic types.

If you might recall several months back, I told you about how our own Chris Ivy had landed himself as on of the many talented artists doing the "Wolverine 100 Project" with the Hero Initiative. I even gave you a special advanced screening of the the cover art he did (which is again shown right here). Well, as of last week, the organization has begun to auction off the many cover contributions, from the artists involved and which can be seen right here, on eBay. Today, Chris Ivy's has been put up on the block. You can view the auction right here.

As many of you know, the Hero Initiative is a charitable organization dedicated to helping out creators in need. Given what a rough year 2009 has been for many people, such efforts are more important than ever. So, I just wanted to bring your attention to this and would ask that you do what you can to support this very worthy cause, either by bidding on some of these awesome covers yourself, or spreading the word about them now being up for grabs. With the Holidays fast approaching, it is the season to start thinking about goodwill towards others. So, please, help out as much as you can.

That's all for now. I'll be back with more news and info soon. Until then, peace out!

A Cut Above: Chris Ivy joins the Wolverine 100 Project!

Hey, everyone! Got a little tidbit of interest here for you today, that doesn't involve me plugging some new art for sale or a convention to see me (or my artists) at.

No, today I'm going to be letting you all in on something special. Sequential Treasures own Chris Ivy is one of the artists who've been tapped for the Hero Initiative's Wolverine 100 Project! He is one of 100 artists who are providing original art to the cover of 100 blank covered limited edition Wolverine comics. And, fortunate fiends that you all are, you get to see the results of this (as shown above) in an exclusive debut at this blog.

Make sure to stop by the Hero Initiative's Wolverine hub page, to see even more of the covers done by even more of the artists involved. Also, make sure to be on the lookout for these covers to be shown soon at a major comic convention near you.

That's all for now. I'll be back soon, with some more big news that you are all probably going to enjoy. Until then, peace out!
